Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, College of Science & Engineering, Geographic Information Science Program, is seeking applications for a Professional Assistant Professor of Geographic Information Science position. The appointment can start as early as Fall 2014 and the position will remain open until it is filled.

All candidates must meet the following required qualifications:

Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Surveying Engineering, Geospatial Science, Geodesy, Geomatics, or a closely related field, and should have a strong commitment to teaching excellence.

A strong candidate should have an ability to teach in the classroom as well as online. The individual should also have a strong professional background and show evidence of previous professional activities related to Professional Land Surveying and be willing to work in tandem with others on projects in addition to teaching GISc related courses to both undergrad and graduates.

May involve night, weekend, and electronic course delivery.  

Preference will be given to qualified candidates who are licensed Professional Land Surveyors and eligible to become a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas. Experience teaching within ABET accredited programs is desirable.
