Post-doctoral researchers are being hired to enable the development of the Kent State Universitys College of Public Health collaboration with GOJO Industries. The collaboration is designed to enhance the College of Public Healths capacity in healthrelated research as well as to enhance the emerging research initiatives at GOJO Industries. Research projects use both qualitative and quantitative methods of understanding health behavior of healthcare professionals.
Applicants must have an earned doctorate in public health, social and behavioral sciences, or closely related field. Postdoctoral researchers are important members of the Kent State University research community. It is our goal to create a thriving post-doctoral culture to strengthen our research expertise. The successful candidates will be encouraged to also advance their own scholarship, teaching, and grant writing opportunities. Other features of these positions include: 1) joining an inter-disciplinary community of post-doctoral scholars at KSU, 2) participating in structured professional development for post-doctoral fellows, 3) interacting with researchers both within and outside of KSU; 4) having dedicated office space on the KSU campus; and 5) the opportunity to teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses. These positions will be funded from 1-2 years with a competitive post-doctoral salary, health benefits, and professional development funds.
