The Department of Life Sciences at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi seeks candidates for a Biology Instructor. These are one year appointments. Candidates should demonstrate teaching experience in general biology, non-majors biology, professional skills for the undergraduate student in Life Sciences, anatomy and physiology, nutrition, science content courses for K-12 future teachers, and design curriculum using 'dry' laboratories that can be integrated with lecture (i.e., separate lab space not required). Master's Degree required with at least 18 hours in biology courses. Three years teaching experience in high school and/or college required.

Candidates must also show strong commitment to quality of teaching and be familiar with tools for internet delivery of coursework (e.g., BlackBoardTM). The successful candidate will be expected to mentor undergraduate students and assist with teaching other introductory life science courses including those for non-majors and those that are associated with future K-12 science teachers. May involve night, weekend, and electronic course delivery.
