Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position in Finance

The Finance Department jointly with the Commonwealth Honors College at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a tenure-track position in finance at the Assistant Professor rank to start in September 2014. The position requires candidates to teach undergraduate classes in Honors, and undergraduate, graduate or doctoral level classes at the Isenberg School of Management.

Candidates must have or expect to complete a PhD or equivalent degree in finance, financial econometrics, economics, or some other finance-related discipline by August 2014. All areas of finance will be considered. Candidates must have expertise or evident potential for quality teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. An ability to teach in both face-to- face and distance education formats to MBA students who have considerable work experience is highly desirable. Further, candidates should show evidence of or potential for publishing in premier journals, such as Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and Review of Financial Studies, and active involvement in research targeted to these or other publications in finance-related fields of comparable caliber.
