Mechanical Engineering: The University of Evansville invites applications for two Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering positions, beginning January 1, 2015 or August 1, 2015. Applicants should be committed to outstanding undergraduate teaching, have excellent English skills, and be dedicated to project-based learning. One position seeks applicants with primary expertise in the thermal sciences, to teach courses in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. One position seeks applicants with primary expertise in machine design and dynamic systems. Expertise in biomechanics would be a plus. Must be able to teach foundational engineering courses, including statics, dynamics, instrumentation, and numerical methods. Successful candidates will serve as faculty advisors for the program's Integrated Design Sequence. Scholarly/professional development activities and university service are expected. B.S. in mechanical engineering or related discipline and earned doctorate are preferred; MSME with professional registration (P.E.) and significant industrial experience will be considered.
