The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University (OSU) seeks nominations and applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Technology Program (MET). The successful candidate will have the ability and desire to teach in the following areas: Manufacturing, Computer Aided Design (CAD), materials, and mechanical design. The successful candidate will also develop a continuing program of research, scholarly activities and personal professional development. Individuals with training and skills that complement and augment existing faculty expertise and have interest in collaborative work are particularly attractive.
Preferred candidate will have an earned Ph.D or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field and industrial experience. Professional registration and teaching experience is preferred. Candidates with relevant experience and a masters degree in a related field will be considered.
The MET program currently has six faculty members with 250 enrolled B.S. students. It is one of four ABET accredited programs within the Division of Engineering Technology at Oklahoma State University, which also includes Electrical Engineering Technology, Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology and Construction Management Technology.
