Reports to the Office of Continuing and Distance Education; collaborates with distance education instructors to determine instructional strategies and instructional materials appropriate for technology-based courses offered through Continuing and Distance Education; acts as a liaison between instructors, Continuing and Distance Education, ITS Educational Technology Services, and Rod Library; organizes Quality Matters faculty professional development workshops related to distance education course design and teaching; and identifies gaps between current hardware and software capabilities and those needed to support growth in technology-based courses.

Bachelor's degree in education, English, technical writing or related field plus at least one year of instructional development experience in the field of distance education with proficiency in web applications including HTML editing with Dreamweaver, as well as course management systems required. Excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, strong attention to accuracy and detail, ability to work well with others in a team setting, and ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced work environment also required. Criminal and other relevant background checks required.
