TAMU-CC invites applications for Computer Science Professional-Track Assistant Professor positions starting Fall 2014. A professional-track position is a promotable non tenure-track position. The School of Engineering & Computing Sciences (ENCS) prepares students to pursue productive careers and advanced degrees in engineering, computer science, or geospatial information science.

The following are the minimum qualifications include a doctorate degree at the time of appointment; preferably in Computer Science, demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, experience in teaching computer programming, problem solving, cyber security, and/or game programming is highly desired, and the ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. May involve night, weekend, and electronic course delivery.  


The job duties include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses, assisting with recruiting students, supporting the instructional needs of the Computer Science M.S. and Geospatial Computing Sciences Ph.D. programs, and representing the school in national and international computing functions as assigned.
