Vice Provost of Student Affairs and Dean of Students

Located in beautiful Moscow, the University of Idaho, the state’s land-grant institution, seeks an outstanding individual to serve as the Vice Provost of Student Affairs and as the Dean of Students.

The University of Idaho’s Vice Provost of Student Affairs, who also serves as Dean of Students, (VPSA/DOS) is the senior student affairs officer. The VPSA/DOS provides leadership and vision in administering a comprehensive range of programs and services related to campus programming and planning. The VPSA/DOS assists in creating a campus culture that promotes inclusiveness and support for the university’s diverse student body and the academic achievement and personal development of all students.

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D., Ed.D., or J.D. with at least seven years of demonstrated leadership with increasing supervisory experience within student affairs; at least three years of experience supervising and developing staff and managing budgets; excellent communication and collaboration skills; leadership abilities to deal effectively with complex issues and situations commonly experienced within student affairs; demonstrated abilities to develop, implement, and assess strategic initiatives; and ability to work successfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
