Duties & Responsibilities The Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research (CBAR) is a large, high-profile research center located within the Harvard School of Public Health.   Two of CBAR's projects are the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) and the  International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials (IMPAACT) group.  With 120 plus statisticians, programmers, research scientist, faculty and staff, these projects provide statistical analysis for the world's largest network of AIDS Clinical Researchers; they are responsible for the design, monitoring and statistical analysis of clinical trials within several clinical trials networks.   Results from these trials have helped to establish a paradigm for the management of HIV disease, forming the basis of current treatment guidelines and resulting in dramatic reductions in AIDS mortality around the globe.

Under the direction of the Associate Director of Project Management and Administration, the Quality Assurance Coordinator will collaborate closely with and take direction from the Quality Assurance Manager.  S/he will manage, coordinate and perform tasks necessary to ensure the organization's internal audit and quality assurance review process is implemented, ensuring deadlines are met.  This will include verifying that organizational and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, communicated and implemented, as well as monitoring organizational compliance with its standard operating procedures related to clinical trials, programming, information technology, administrative and finance practices.  S/he may provide assistance to internal auditors in compliance reviews, such as completing checklists related to specific internal SOPs.  This position will maintain and provide documentation of compliance related activities, including compliance issues that require follow-up.  S/he will work with the Quality Assurance Manager to track and report on data missing from project management software database (AtTask) and work with statisticians to ensure completion of data entry.   S/he will  assist in development and maintenance of a training matrix for all workforce members, including ensuring all workforce members are knowledgeable of and comply with applicable organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Basic Qualifications College background or 4-5 years of experience.  Combination of education and expeirence will be considered.

Additional Qualifications - BA or BS degree preferred    Highly detail-oriented with ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Experience participating in quality assurance tasks
- Experience maintaining websites preferred
- Experience using database software to manage data, develop and generate reports, including project management software.  - - Experience using AtTask a major plus.
- Highly developed organizational, management, planning, analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Experience developing and maintaining systems for tracking information
- Ability to share and explain information clearly
- Ability to handle confidential information and act with discretion and tact under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Experience and high level of comfort with project management and/or project leadership.
- Experience independently evaluating information to determine compliance with standards.
