Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to conduct all day-to-day administrative operations of The Diabetes Institute (DI), create organizational and foundational structures to support the work of the faculty and staff. Supervise essential staff personnel. Direct and organize DI activities, public education conferences, coalitions and other initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Direct all day-to-day administrative operations of the DI. Serve a first-line liaison and representative for the DI including contact with other colleges, universities, local, state, federal and private funding and commercial agencies. Supervise essential DI staff including the Grant Writer, Administrative Associate, Diabetes Endocrine Center (DEC) Staff as well as student personnel.

-Investigate, evaluate and consult with DI leadership to support the creation of organizational, foundational and physical structures. Coordinate, assist and monitor all communications and development of the DI (marketing/branding plan, website, social media, newsletter).

-Work with the DI to meet all OHF tasks associated with diabetes as described in the Vision 2020. Manage OHF budget, reporting and revisions.

-Direct, organize and evaluate DI related events, including special events, conferences, board and committee meetings and workshops. Oversee and manage all DI accounts (operating, restricted and foundation).

-Assist in the creation of programming for clinical, research, outreach and education divisions of the DI.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

-Masters degree in Communications, Education or related field
-Experience planning, preparing and forecasting the budget.
-Minimum of 3 years of experience related to the scope, responsibilities, and tasks as described;
-Minimum of 3 years of supervisory/management experience, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work.
