Florida International University invites applications for a non tenure-track position (Instructor level) in the Writing and Rhetoric Program, within the Department of English, to begin Fall 2014.

 

Required: MA in Rhetoric and Composition or in a related field; evidence of success in post-secondary composition instruction.

 

Desired: Terminal degree in Rhetoric and Composition or in a related field; graduate coursework in Rhetoric and Composition if degree in related field; also, graduate coursework in Teaching English as a Second Language.  Experience in one of more of the following areas is highly desirable: working with multi-lingual writers; expertise with Chinese speakers and writers; experience working in China, with Chinese institutions; experience working with writing across the curriculum.

 

Responsibilities:  4/4 course load in the undergraduate writing program, including program service responsibilities. Nine-month appointment, beginning Fall 2013. Renewable contingent upon budget. Competitive salary and benefits.
