The Indiana University School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS), one of the health science schools at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), invites application and nominations for an experienced and visionary physician assistant or physician to serve as the director of its Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) program.
This is a full time 12-month administrative faculty appointment. Reporting directly to the Dean of SHRS, the program director will provide strong leadership for the academic program by implementing and evaluating PA curriculum, building effective relationships with faculty, staff, students and other stakeholders, recruiting qualified faculty, and promoting excellence in classroom/clinical teaching and scholarship. The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of PA education profession, accreditation, and must be either a board-certified physician or NCCPA, and currently licensed or eligible for PA licensure in Indiana. The ideal candidate will have documented academic PA program teaching experience as a principal program faculty, and five years clinical and/or academic experience as a PA, MD or DO. Preference will be given to PA with a doctorate degree.
Academic rank and salary are commensurate with level of education and experience.
