Job Overview: The Program Coordinator coordinates the activities and functions of a designated program to ensure goals and objectives established for the program are accomplished in accordance with specified priorities, timeframe, funding limits, and other requirements.  The Program Coordinator serves as both internal and external representation of the program to constituents and provides technical and programmatic guidance about the particulars of the programs to constituents.



-Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

-Knowledge of e-portfolio products

-Possess excellent oral, written, presentation, project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills

-Ability to multitask

-Ability to function independently and work collaboratively as a member of a team

-Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred

-Experience working across disciplines or in interdisciplinary academic settings


Essential Functions:

-Provide outreach and programming designed to support student academic success

-Assist in academic advising functions, including registration, processing of changes of major, administering and overseeing advising e-portfolios, and degree clearance

-Participate in admissions events (i.e. Open Houses, Accepted Students Days, on- and off-campus informational sessions, etc.)

-Assist with the vetting and review of student applications

-Develop workshops and events to promote student growth and increase program cohesion/visibility

-Assist with program assessment

-Assist with the planning, travel logistics, and paperwork of visiting speakers for the Great Works Symposium, and GWS-related events

-Advertise CII-sponsored events, including the development of promotional/recruitment materials, maintenance of internet and social media presence, archiving of guest speaker interviews/lecture recordings, etc.

-Develop collaborative relationships with departments and programs that offer resources useful to students pursuing self-designed, interdisciplinary degrees, as well as those that offer services to improve student academic success

-Special projects as assigned
