The Managing Director of Academic Technology Services is a premier academic computing opportunity. As Harvard strives to enable the innovative and broad use of technology to enhance teaching, learning, and research, the Managing Director will play a prominent role in these efforts, and is charged with leading academic technology for Harvard College and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and for the University as a whole.

The Managing Director reports to the University Chief Information Officer and is a key member of the leadership team responsible for technology at the University. Information Technology at Harvard University is a large and complex enterprise, with 1,300 employees and a $320 million budget.
The new Managing Director must be a strong, proven leader with a track record of success at developing and implementing innovative solutions to current and future pedagogical needs. Additionally, he or she must possess a deep understanding of current issues and resources in instructional technology, educational computing, and the digital future. An advanced degree is preferred.
