In collaboration with the UHP Director and Associate Directors, the Assistant Director oversees two staff members to develop, coordinate and manage the recruitment, programing, assessment, and communications for the University Honors Program. The position has primary responsibility for overseeing these functions for the UHPs signature programs (Berry Summer Thesis Institute, Chaminade Scholars Program, DC Flyers Program, Honors Student Welcome, Hull Fellowships, and any future additional programs) as well as working with these programs students.
Demonstrated successful experience with creating, implementing, and assessing co curricular programming for college or university students.
Demonstrated experience working with college or university students.
Demonstrated successful experience training students.
Demonstrated excellent written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with various campus constituencies.
Demonstrated successful supervisory experience.
Masters Degree in higher education administration, college student personnel or related field.
Three or more years demonstrated successful experience with creating, implementing, and assessing cocurricular programming for college or university students.
Three or more years demonstrated successful experience working with college or university students.
Demonstrated successful experience training students to serve as student leaders in a college or university setting.
Demonstrated successful experience working collaboratively with various campus constituencies.
Demonstrated excellent presentation skills for various audiences.
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated successful experience managing and developing staff.
Successful experience working with public relations to highlight student achievements.
Demonstrated ability to articulate an understanding of the Universitys CAP (Common Academic Program) learning outcomes and their relationship to experiential learning in the context of honors education.
