Assistant Professor of Music-Voice

Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.

Teach undergraduate appied voice and aural skills. Other teaching duties such as music appreciation may be assigned as needed, contingent on successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. Service on departmental and university committees. Recruiting for vocal area.
Other expectations include recruitment of prospective undergraduate vocal majors, academic advising, attendance at departmental meetings, service on departmental juries and evaluation panel, and service on departmental and university committees as assigned and selected.
Establish and engage in scholarly/creative/performance activity, and professional, university, and community service for tenure and promotion.
The 9-month position will begin around August 15, 2014.

Degrees and experience in teaching voice and performance. Dynamic individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Functional aural and keyboard skills. Organizational skills for classroom instruction.
