The School of Lifespan Development and Educational Sciences at Kent State University invites applications for the position of Instructor/Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) in the area Special Education. This position will be full-time and would begin AY 2014-2015. Teaching load will include four sections per semester and will involve course on Assistive Technology, Assessment, and Curriculum for individuals with severe disabilities.  


Preferred qualifications for this position include a Doctorate in Special Education, Rehabilitation, or related field and a minimum of three years of working with students with low-incidence disabilities in classroom or community-based settings. ABD candidates are eligible, provided they can demonstrate extensive knowledge and commitment to the field and expected defense of their dissertation by August, 2015. Candidates with an expertise in Physical Disabilities, Severe Mental Health Conditions, or Young Children with Low-Incidence Disabilities are encouraged to apply.
