Dakota State University is accepting applications for a Director of Extended Programs to manage and lead the continued expansion of DSU's degree programs offered at a distance. An innovative and highly energetic professional with exceptional academic and administrative skills will be responsible for the development of eLearning strategic planning, marketing, branding, budgeting, and enrollment management. The successful candidate will develop and implement a University-wide vision for online & blended learning and assist faculty with course development in instructional design. The Director of Extended Programs serves as the liaison between DSU and the University Centers in Sioux Falls and Rapid City as well as supervising the requirements for State Authorization contracts.
Requirements for this position include an earned doctorate in Instructional Systems or related field (ABD or Master’s considered). Teaching at least one online course in an appropriate content area is required. Additional experience needed in academic or training environment integrating multimedia, network technologies into instruction, and knowledge of emerging information technologies. This is a 12 month position and weekend and evening hours may be required.
