The University of Tennessee invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the College of Law. The Dean is the chief academic and administrative officer of the College and reports to the Chancellor. Salary is nationally competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Qualifications: We are seeking a dean who can lead us in building on the College's traditions and achievements. Applicants must possess the following qualifications: a J.D. degree or its equivalent; an established record as an exceptional teacher and scholar or comparable professional achievement meriting appointment as a tenured professor; outstanding communication and leadership skills; the ability to relate effectively to a variety of internal and external constituencies; and a commitment to diversity. Desired qualifications include administrative, fiscal, and fundraising experience, and a demonstrated understanding of the research, instructional, and service needs of a college of law.
