Assistant Professor in Dietetics and/or Nutrition, Dietetics, Fashion Merchandising and Hospitality, Macomb Campus. An earned doctorate from a U.S. regionally accredited institution in human nutrition, dietetics, food science, or a closely related field. However, consideration will be given to individuals who are completing requirements for the doctorate within one year of the beginning date, August 2014. Demonstrate knowledge of nutrition science, research methods, and nutrition informatics. Ability to integrate technology into the teaching and learning process is desirable. Possess effective communication skills, written and oral. Assume responsibility for teaching in dietetics, food and nutrition and/or food science courses. Teach lecture and laboratory based courses and/or courses delivered via distance education. Assist in the continuous evaluation and revision of department curricula and may perform other duties as assigned. Engage in scholarly activity and provide service to the department, College of Education and Human Services, University, and Profession..
