The Division of Pediatric Medical Genetics at the University of Utah School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time Medical Geneticist. The Medical Geneticist will provide medical care to patients with genetic disorders, congenital anomalies and metabolic disorders. The Medical Geneticist will also participate in teaching, research activities and advocacy programs related to genetic disorders. Clinical activities will be carried out at Primary Children’s Medical Center, the University of Utah and outreach clinics within and outside the state of Utah. In addition to clinical service, there is an expectation for academic work, including teaching, research, administration and advocacy.
Qualified candidates must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, be Board Qualified/Board Certified in Medical Genetics and possess excellent clinical skills. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment on the Clinical or Tenure Track. Rank will be dependent on qualifications.
The Department of Pediatrics has an established faculty development and mentoring program designed to help faculty succeed in translational or basic research and to thrive as educators. The Department also offers a medical education debt repayment program for junior faculty.
