Supports projects, initiatives, and activities that impact an academic or administrative department.

-         Manages basic office functions such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments, and distributing information.

-         Collects data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

-         Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections.

-         Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.

-         Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.

-         Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.

-         May supervise office staff and student workers.

In addition to the above duties, responsibilities include but are not limited to;- Prepare and fill full time and part time personnel ledgers- Prepare and reconcile part time and full time staff payroll expenditure reports- Prepare and reconcile full time personnel payroll- Calculate overtime for full time personnel- Monitor departmental budgets, including Personnel, SAAB, OTPS, and overtime budgets - Process background checks for outside agencies- Coordinate incident and accident reports in accordance with the exigencies of the Department of  Public Safety- Other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree required.


- Two years of work experience in Security Management or law enforcement preferred - Knowledge Microsoft Office- Ability to work under pressure, complete multiple assignments and projects simultaneously, and produce results in a timely manner- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.- Working knowledge of access control and surveillance systems


$35,576 - $38,407
