Engineering Technology Department of Washkewicz College of Engineering at Cleveland State University invites applications for a non-tenured lecturer position in its Electronics Engineering Technology Program within the Department beginning August, 2014. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate electrical engineering technology related courses, develop and teach laboratory courses in the same area, and participate in program assessment activities that can lead to ABET accreditation of the program.
The successful candidate must have an earned Masters or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field from an accredited institution, evidence of strong written and oral communication skills, a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student success, and at least 5 years of relevant industrial experience. Successful applicants should be qualified and motivated to teach a variety of electronics engineering technology courses.
Preferred qualifications include an earned PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, previous teaching experience at a baccalaureate level, knowledge of applied real-world engineering, understanding of the TAC-ABET requirements, Professional Engineering Registration.
Currently the Engineering Technology Department has two programs: Electronics Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology. Since 1923, the Washkewicz College of Engineering at Cleveland State University has provided a tradition of high quality, applied undergraduate and graduate education in engineering and engineering technology.
