Office of the President, Global Freedom of Expression and Information Project
Reporting to the Director, Global Freedom of Expression and Information Project, the Project Manager will be responsible for the effective implementation of the Global FoE/I program of work, including the global jurisprudence project and future projects, ensuring that the following tasks are accomplished in a timely and accurate manner.
Bachelors degree required. Minimum four years of related experience.
Experience working in the field of international human rights, freedom of expression and information, internet and cyber issues, or equivalent. Demonstrated understanding of global norms and concepts on human rights, freedom of expression and information and/or internet; Project management experience, including planning, coordinating, implementing and finalizing projects according to specifications and deadlines, budgeting and financial reporting. Previous experience in fund raising and donors reporting, demonstrated ability to draft concept notes and funding proposals. Understanding of monitoring and evaluation framework, and of impact-based evaluation. Ability to coordinate multiple activities with competing priorities as well as perform daily tasks with confidentiality and discretion. Problem-solving skills. Superior verbal and written communication skills in English. Detail-oriented, exercise good judgment, and work as a team player in a fast-paced environment. Highly proficient Microsoft Office skills needed. Experience with legal research and legal materials. International experience, including working outside the United States. Knowledge of a second language. Masters degree in relevant field; or professional equivalence a plus.
