This is a fixed-term position in the Department of Ethnic and Womens Studies  Teach courses in Asian Pacific American Studies and Womens Studies.  Preference given to candidates who can teach the following courses: Introduction to Asian American Studies, Contemporary Asian Pacific American Issues, Asian Pacific American Women, Women of Color in the U.S., Global Feminism, Feminist Research Methods.  Engage in community outreach.  Work with students both formally and informally.



  • MA or MS degree in Asian Pacific American Studies, Womens Studies, or related fields such as Ethnic Studies, Sociology, Cultural Studies
  • Evidence of teaching related to Asian Pacific American Studies and/or Womens Studies
  • Evidence of demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse background


  • Ph.D. or other terminal degree, ABD also considered
  • Evidence of research related to Asian Pacific American Studies and/or Womens Studies
  • Experience working with community organizations
  • Experience working with students (advising, internships, etc.)
