California State University, Northridge (CSUN), seeks a strategic and collaborative Associate Vice President (AVP) of Development who is committed to the Universitys mission and ambitious plans for the future.  Reporting to the Vice President for University Advancement, the AVP will lead a growing team with responsibility for all fundraising programs at the University and serve as the chief operating officer of the CSUN Foundation.  They will work in collaboration with foundation board members, advancement leadership, development staff and deans to formulate fundraising strategies for the individual colleges, schools and units at the University; recruit, manage and mentor a team of manager leaders and fundraisers; and collaborate with the Vice President in principal gift activity and setting the overall strategic direction of fundraising efforts.  The ideal candidate will have at least six years of progressively responsible experience building and managing fundraising programs, preferably in higher education; strong analytical and communications skills; demonstrated competence in designing, planning and managing successful fundraising plans; and strong supervisory and personnel management skills.
