Job Description: The College of Nursing, Department of Women Childrenand Family Nursing is recruiting one creative and highly motivated individual for a clinical track position. Applicants must be nationally certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Florida licensure or eligibility for Florida licensure and a doctoral degree (PhD or DNP). Relevant teaching experience and a record of scholarly work are preferred. The University of Florida (UF) is one of the nationtop twenty Association of American Universities (AAU) public research universities. With more than 46,000 students, UF is the fourth largest university in the nation. UFremarkably diverse campus in north central Florida includes a major arts and sciences component, as well as the Institute of Food and Agricultural Science, the Health Science Center, an internationally recognized Brain Institute, an Institute on Aging, Genetics Institute, Cancer Center, and Comprehensive Center for Pain Research. Faculty members enjoy opportunity for joint appointment with these institutes and centers. The College of Nursing offers nationally accredited baccalaureate (generic and accelerated) and masterdegree programs (CNL) as well as the stateoldest PhD in Nursing Science. A cooperative PhD Degree provides doctoral education to four consortium universities. A Doctor of Nursing Practice degree was initiated in Fall 2006. The College was one of the first four VA Academy education partnerships in the country to receive major grant support for increased student enrollment and faculty retention. The College is part of a world-class health science center, one of only three in Florida, and the flagship university in the state. Major areas of faculty research are aging, cancer, health policy, and mental health. The College is a major partner in UFnewly funded Center for Translational Science Institute (CTSI). The CollegeOffice of Research Support (ORS) and CTSI offer outstanding research mentorship and assistance.
Minimum Requirements: Nationally certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Florida licensure or eligibility for Florida licensure and a doctoral degree (PhD or DNP).
Preferred Qualifications Relevant teaching experience and a record of scholarly work are preferred.
