The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Lewis University provides comprehensive and career-focused mathematics and computer science education to undergraduate students in these two dynamic fields and masters-level students in Information Security. By maintaining a career-enabling balance between theory and practice, the mathematics and computing science curricula at Lewis serves students with a diverse set of interests.


For this full time, one year appointment, we seek a PhD in Mathematics with teaching and research experience in applied mathematics, statistical computing, machine learning and data mining.  The ideal candidate must be an excellent teacher, good at identifying and pursuing new opportunities, and enthusiastic about sponsoring undergraduate research projects in applied mathematics and mathematical computing.
