DIRECTOR OF CENTER FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP - The director must be a self-starter with strong operational focus, and possess the ability to make critical judgments; has responsibilities of managing the daily operation of the Center and its budget; responsible for collaborating and implementing its strategic plan; serve as the Centers university liaison within the region as a resource for entrepreneurship and job creation; and assists the Dean with the Centers fundraising initiatives, as well as write and administer grants. The position will also teach credit and non-credit entrepreneurship related courses, and collaborate in growing the Center for Entrepreneurship, and eventually supervise and evaluate the Center staff. REQUIRED: Bachelors degree in an appropriate field, and five years of business ownership or work with significant responsibility in economic development; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. PREFERRED: Masters degree in appropriate field. Knowledge of the state and/or regions business and entrepreneurial environment, experience in business development and fundraising and grant writing concepts and solicitation techniques; and maintain qualifications to teach undergraduate courses.
