The Department of Spanish & Portuguese at The Ohio State University invites applications for a Senior Lecturer in Iberian Studies (non-tenure track). The position involves teaching up to seven courses per year, which may include Spanish and Catalan language courses, as well as courses in Iberian Studies at the undergraduate level. Special interest in candidates qualified to teach Catalan language, literatures and cultures; film studies specialization particularly welcome. There is a possibility of minor service assignments (committee participation) within the department. Position is for nine-months, from September 2014 through May 2015, annually renewable.
Qualifications: Doctoral degree at time of appointment, native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English, commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, and relevant experience.
