Job Description: The Department of Medicine is seeking applications for a Chief of Hospital Medicine at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. The Chief is responsible for overseeing the educational, safety, administrative and professional development initiatives within the division. In addition, s/he is accountable for hospital quality outcome measures. The Chief may perform inpatient attending duties, including consultations, teaching and supervising medical students and residents, quality and safety research. The Division of Hospital Medicine is a dynamic and diverse division of 46.3 clinical and administrative FTEs with strong initiatives in quality and safety, palliative care, long-term acute care, hospital-based discharge clinic, and surgical co-management. Minimum Requirements: Applicants must be board-certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine and possess an active Florida Medical License. Three to five years of administrative leadership experience in an academic-based hospitalist program strongly preferred.
