The UF Office of Research provides the institutional leadership and infrastructure necessary for the research enterprise to achieve excellence in creating new fundamental knowledge and technological breakthroughs, in contributing to the educational mission of the institution, and in translating research to relevance. This is exemplified by our $26 million in income from technology licensing.
The Office of Researchs Division of Sponsored Programs is currently seeking an experienced contracting professional to join our team. The Coordinator will be part of a responsive and professional team and will represent the University of Florida (UF) in the negotiation of sponsored agreements, with a specific focus on federal and industry contracts and other complex arrangements.
Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
Advanced Degree (JD, PhD, or Masters Degree) and 3 years of sponsored programs administration or contract negotiations experience or Bachelors degree and 5 years of sponsored programs administration or contract negotiations experience; strong negotiating and communication skills; ability to provide excellent customer service; ability to critically think and use good judgment; and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Five or more years of experience in contract negotiations, preferably in and institution of higher education with a focus on sponsored programs; demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and public institution of higher education policies governing the sponsored programs; and positive leadership qualities.
