The Department of Nursing at Rowan University is accepting applications and nominations for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Associate Professor level, to start in Fall 2014.

The Department of Nursing is one of seven departments in the College of Science and Mathematics. Its undergraduate RN to BSN program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and has an undergraduate student population of over 350 registered nurses pursuing studies both in class and online. More recently, the department has launched a new MS in Nursing with tracks in Clinical Nurse Leader and Nurse Practitioner.

The ideal candidate will possess a doctoral degree with a focus in Nursing and have an established record of teaching, service, clinical supervision of students, and be very familiar with accreditation processes and program development. Due to the continuing growth of the department and its programs, the candidate must also possess a minimum of three years experience in a leadership capacity, with skills that may include budgeting, outreach, and administration of personnel.

Rowan is a comprehensive public institution with over 14,000 undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in eight colleges (Business, Communication and Creative Arts, Education, Engineering, Performing Arts, Graduate and Continuing Education, Science and Mathematics, and Humanities and Social Sciences) and two medical schools (the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and the School of Osteopathic Medicine). The recent State designation of Rowan as a research university has set the framework for new multidisciplinary research opportunities as well as the creation of new professional degrees.  Located in Glassboro, New Jersey, Rowan is ideally situated in the crescent extending from New York City (2 hours) through Philadelphia (half an hour) to Washington, D.C. (2.5 hours).
