The Department of English invites applications for a Professional Assistant Professor, English.
A graduate degree in a writing studies-related field (rhetoric and composition, professional writing, and/or writing studies), evidence of continued engagement in the field (publications, presentations, or applied scholarship), and three years of full-time teaching at the college level required. Our program values a commitment to student learning, to reflective practice, and to collegiality.
Terminal degree in a writing-related field and/or experience teaching in learning communities preferred.
Workload will be four or five first-year writing courses each semester, depending on whether or not courses are in our First-Year Learning Communities Program. Teaching schedule may involve night, weekend, and electronic course delivery.
