Arkansas Tech University invites applications for a nine-month, non-tenure-track position as Instructor of Health Information Management (HIM). Salary starts at 40,000 depending on qualifications to teach a full-time load of twelve credit hours per semester. The successful candidate will join three existing faculty in this accredited, undergraduate HIM program which is associated with a graduate program in Health Informatics. Qualified applicants must have a current credential of Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Baccalaureate degree, a minimum of five years of recent HIM experience. Preference will be given to candidates with evidence of excellent communication skills. Faculty members are responsible for the development and teaching of assigned courses. Additional duties include advising, service on university committees, and engagement in scholarly activities. The application deadline is May 2, 2014 and the position begins in August 2014.
