Doctorate required, ABD considered. Evidence of strong artistic ability and accomplishment as a college-level violin performer/teacher with professional performing experience is required.
Primary responsibilities include teaching applied violin [undergraduate and graduate levels], related courses in pedagogy and repertoire, upper string methods for music education majors, and coach chamber music. Candidate must maintain an appropriate level of creative activity. Recruiting qualified violin students is an essential part of the position. Additional duties may be assigned including the teaching and recruitment of viola students.
