Assistant Professor of Social Justice and Criminology

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications


The Division of Social Sciences and History is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor of Social Justice and Criminology. Area of specialization is open. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching 12 credit hours of a combination of undergraduate and graduate courses in each fall and spring semester; advising undergraduate students; providing service to the Division of Social Sciences and History, the wider university, and the profession; and, building a scholarship portfolio by engaging in pertinent research. Preference will be given to applicants with the ability to teach Social Research and Quantitative Methods.

The start date for this position is August 2014


A Ph.D. in Criminology, Sociology, or a closely related field is required for this position. A J.D. is not a sufficient qualification for this position.
