Education: Open Rank Position, Michigan State University, Tenure System, 9-month basis, 100% time. The College of Education at Michigan State University announces a position for an open rank tenure stream faculty member with expertise in the development and application of quantitative methods. We seek individuals with general training in educational measurement and quantitative methods with a research emphasis in areas such as item response theory or large-scale assessment, as well as an interest in policy related to these areas. Affiliations with research and policy centers, such as the Educational Policy Center in the College are also possible. Responsibilities include: (1) contribution to the knowledge base and research in measurement and quantitative methods in education; (2) teaching graduate level courses in measurement and quantitative methods and related areas; (3) advising graduate students; (4) providing expertise on grants; (5) directing doctoral dissertations; and (6) contributing to the mission and promotion of the program. QUALIFICATIONS: (1) earned doctorate in measurement and quantitative methods or related field; (2) evidence of scholarly activity and publications; and (3) evidence of success, commensurate with rank, in obtaining and leading externally funded projects.
