Music: Central Michigan University School of Music seeks a Lecturer of Music (Soprano Voice). Full-time, 9-month, non-tenure-track position. Required qualifications: Master's degree in vocal performance (doctorate preferred), outstanding performance skills, successful college teaching experience, and qualifications to teach in related areas. Celebrating its 120th anniversary this year, Central Michigan University is one of the nation's 100 largest public universities and the fourth largest in Michigan, with more than 21,000 students on its Mount Pleasant campus and another 7,000 enrolled online and at more than 50 locations across North America. CMU offers academic programs at the undergraduate, master's, specialist and doctoral levels, including several in key areas of strength and emerging interest. CMU also has established a College of Medicine, which is actively recruiting students for its inaugural class that started in the summer of 2013. The School of Music is located in a state-of-the-art 119,000 square foot facility with a 500-seat concert hall housing a 61-rank Casavant organ, a 100-seat recital hall, MIDI technology labs, recording facilities, music resource center, and 79 practice rooms.
