Mechanical Engineering: Full-time, tenure track position in the Department of Industrial and Engineering Technology to begin August 2014. Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required. Two years of relevant U.S. industry experience required. Experience in a multi-skilled mechanical and electrical environment is preferred. Certifications related to the multi-skilled, mechanical/electrical industry standards preferred. Will teach electromechanical engineering technology courses in fluid and pneumatic systems, manufacturing processes, control systems, machine design, mathematical system modeling and dynamics, and engineering economy will be required. Additional experiences/skills in mechatronics/robotics, industrial networks and servo controls will be a plus. This individual will be expected to be involved in laboratory maintenance and development, develop and teach on-line courses for the EMT program, and teach at MSU satellite campuses. Duties include involvement with professional organizations, student placement, participation in student recruitment and building industry relations. A level of research and writing, commensurate of an assistant professor, tenure-track position is required. Application Deadline: April 25, 2014.
