The Associate Director of Union and Divisional Marketing is a member of the Student Union leadership team and the divisional Student Affairs Leadership Team (SALT) and works to develop and deliver strategic communications and marketing services to all units throughout the Division of Student Affairs. The position leads, manages and supervises the Union and Divisional Marketing Office ensuring that the office is at the cutting edge of marketing and communication best practices.  The Associate Director is responsible for producing measurable results through the development of clear and translatable branding for student affairs units and student organizations at UWM that both compliment and respect institutional brand standards.  In collaboration with divisional and union administration and leadership, the Union and Divisional Marketing Office develops creative and dynamically integrated marketing plans to promote programs and services that articulate the division and divisional units purpose, values, activities and outcomes while providing expertise and strategic communications to and with student populations. 

Minimum Qualifications: A bachelors degree is required. Four or more years of progressive, related experience in a student affairs and/or student union setting in higher education is required.  Additionally, at least two of the four years of experience must be directly related to brand management, marketing or communications in a leadership/supervisory capacity.

The Associate Director for Events and Operations provides the overall leadership and supervision of the following UWM Union functional areas: Reservations and Event Planning Services (REPS) Office, Building Operations, the Mechanical Services/Custodial Services areas, and the general operations of the UWM Union including the Information Desk/Client Services and Production Services. The position is responsible for 19 full time staff and numerous student staff and provides direction, mentoring and leadership to all staff through effective communication of expectations, performance management and guidance with day-to-day issues and conflict resolution.  The position ensures facility oversight as well as planning and execution of facility renovations and major maintenance projects. The position responds to facility and operations related emergencies as requested by the Director and serves as primary Union liaison to both UWM internal and external facility tenants. The position also plays a primary role in the development and oversight of the Unions budget and oversees hiring and supervision of staff on an on-going basis.

Minimum Qualifications: A bachelors degree is required. Six or more years of progressively increasing responsibilities in a student affairs and/or student union setting in higher education is required.  Additionally, at least three of the six years of experience must be directly related to managing events, building operations or facility maintenance in a leadership/supervisory capacity.
