Associate Dean: Position Announcement for Associate Dean. Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering. Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Texas A&M University-Kingsville invites applications for the position of Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies in the Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering. This is an administrative and teaching position whose primary responsibilities will be to grow and oversee the College's funded research programs, coordinate all graduate programs, and develop new master's level and doctoral programs in emerging areas that build on the strengths of the College and are relevant to South Texas and the surrounding region. The successful candidate must possess an earned doctorate in an engineering discipline from a regionally accredited institution or university, must qualify for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor in an appropriate department; must have a distinguished record of performance in teaching at all levels, proven experience in promoting both undergraduate and graduate research, and service; and possess a strong record of prior academic administrative experience. The successful candidate should also possess strong entrepreneurial skills; demonstrate successful experience in research, grant funding, development activities and collaboration with industry and funding agencies; have an appreciation of the mission of a regional public university and a clear understanding of engineering education in a global environment. The Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering serves a student body of over 2,000 with over 60 full-time faculty and 25 staff members.
