WSU invites you to join our Community of Learners as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Early Childhood & Elementary Literacy. This position is a probationary/tenure-track appointment starting August 18, 2014.
Duties associated with this position include, but are not limited to: 1) instructing teacher education courses in early childhood education or elementary literacy and/or in other areas consistent with academic preparation and departmental need, on the Winona and/or Rochester campuses and in area schools; 2) working closely with area school districts in a newly established paired methods clinical experience model, including, but not limited to planning for guided clinical experiences, aligning district and teacher licensing goals, and possible delivery of coursework at district sites; 3) supervising field experiences and/or student teachers; and 4) maintaining a 12 credit teaching load per semester.
If you possess an earned doctorate in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Curriculum and Instruction or other closely related doctoral field (ABD considered with assurance that research data collection has been completed and understanding that completion of doctorate is required before application for tenure) and have a minimum of three years teaching experience, we encourage you to apply.
