CSU Fullerton is a comprehensive, regional university serving a diverse student population of over 37,000, including international students representing 79 nations. Under the direction of the Vice President for Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion, the Chief of Operations is responsible for providing oversight for the office operations and division-wide efforts in the areas of personnel management, division budget, and safety. The Chief of Operations fulfills a wide variety of complex and highly sensitive executive and administrative duties. Specific duties and responsibilities include: 1. Serve as the principal budget and personnel officer for the division. 2. Responsible for the development and maintenance of the division budget and human resources policies and practices that are consistent with CSU, State, and Federal requirements. 3. Coordinate, prepare, and submit required reports to the VP and other appropriate University officials. 4. Work collaboratively with division managers, budget and personnel officers in other divisions and advises the VP on budget and personnel matters. 5. Responsible for a broad and complex set of assignments, coordinate special projects/reports and provide leadership/support. 6. Act independently within functional and organizational guidelines and interprets university policy. 7. Consult with executive management and administration on divisional strategy and accomplishing divisional objectives, as well as advises executive management on critical and sensitive issues. 8. Represent the VP and the HR, Diversity and Inclusion Division to various campus constituents, assigned committees, and required off-campus constituents. 9. Other duties as assigned.
