Cinema/Media: The School of Cinema & Interactive Media at DePaul University is seeking filmmakers for multiple non-tenure track positions in one of the most innovative and fastest-growing cinema programs in the country. Located in the heart of Chicago's vibrant Loop and Lincoln Park communities, the cinema program is part of the School of Cinema & Interactive Media, which also includes cross-disciplinary programs in Animation, Game Development, and Interactive Media. There are currently nearly 800 majors enrolled in the Digital Cinema BA, BS, MS and MFA degree programs. The School of Cinema and Interactive Media offers MFA's in Cinema, Screenwriting, and Animation. Production resources include Arri Alexa, Red Epic and Red One camera packages, two green screen stages, a Motion Capture studio, two sound studios, one television studio, one 2K digital cinema theatre, and a lighting and sound stage, grip truck and a full sound stage and workshop at Cinespace Studios. Past visiting artists include directors Lana and Andy Wachowski, Marc Webb, Tom DeCillo, producer Paula Wagner, filmmaker Werner Herzog, former Disney executive Chuck Viane, and actor Tim Robbins. For more information about the cinema program please visit our website: Ideal candidates for the positions will have teaching and production experience in one or more of the following areas: critical theory, producing, fundraising, digital platform exhibition, self distribution, cinematography, directing, writing for film and television, sound, production design, editing and post-production. Job responsibilities include teaching, service, supervising student projects and continued creative activities and/or scholarship in the field. Positions begin fall of 2014. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience; positions are dependent on budget approval.
