Under the direction of the controller, the Director of Student Financial Services is responsible for providing leadership, direction and coordination to the Student Financial Services department in the areas of student accounts receivables, disbursements, collections, cashiering, student accounts, customer service, internal and external communications, and serves as the PS Student Administration Subject Matter Expert, which includes oversight of daily operations, including managing and organizing Student Financial Services staff, development of long-range departmental planning, assessment of the impact of new policies and programs to departmental operations and the university community; development of policy, and implementation of procedures in compliance with applicable regulations and requirements. Specific duties and responsibilities include: 1. Lead implementation of programs with the consideration to system requirements, compliance and audit issues, use of sound judgment and compliance with CO, Campus, Divisional and departmental mission, goal and strategies. 2. Develop and promote a team work environment, providing quality customer service to the University community, and coaching and mentoring staff as needed.
