The Digital Initiatives Librarian reports to the Head of Assessment, Planning and Scholarly Communications and provides oversight for digital
collections and special collections services. The DI Librarian will also manage select digital resources including the IIT digital repository, coordinate training, and liaise with archival staff, Library Technology Group and other staff to sustain online access to collections.
This position is expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills, collaborate with IIT campus partners to provide resources and services that supports both learning and research, work cooperatively with staff at all IIT libraries, participate in working groups and committees as necessary, and promote Galvin Library to its internal constituency, its university partners, and externally to consortia and professional organizations. Previous experience in an academic or research library, with experience administering and managing digital projects, and providing instruction or training preferred.
