Position Summary:
The Assistant Registrar, Law coordinates and performs on-site Registrar Office functions for the College of Law including grade processing, standings, and enrollment and degree verifications. This position works directly with, is and responsible to, the UI Registrar concerning registrar policies, procedures and guidelines. This includes information and processes subject to FERPA. Internally, this position helps to maintain finance controls in coordination with the Finance Director and coordinates some other college reporting and operating processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Four years of experience with progressive responsibility that includes entry, verification and stewardship of data and records.
- Using computer software and applications for word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet research
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interpreting and applying regulations, policies and procedures
- Bachelor’s degree
- Analyzing information, identifying problems and developing recommendations for management/administrators
- Knowledge of FERPA law and its application; or equivalent knowledge and experience in handling confidential information
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in higher education areas and/or legal studies
- Demonstrated ability to act independently and exercise initiative
- Experience with University programs such as Banner
