About the College/Department:
Job Summary/Basic Functions
As a member of EKU Online's Instructional Design Center (IDC), the incumbent will provide instructional design expertise for the delivery of online academic programs, specialized educational programs, and academic courses delivered via distance education and through e-learning strategies. In addition, the incumbent will provide supervisory and project management duties as assigned. May represent EKU Online as a liaison to other departments or units.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Master's degree required. Preferably in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, or related field.
Experience: 2 years of experience required in course or curriculum design preferably in higher education.

Job Duties:
- 30% - Instructional Design: Apply learning theory and best practices of instructional design to effective partner with the faculty in development of face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses through the use of Instructional Design methodologies that emphasize student-centered learning. - (Essential)
- 25% - Project Management: Identify, plan, and implement instructional projects in coordination with subject matter experts to develop courses in line with project timelines. - (Essential)
- 15% - Professional Development: Develop and deliver professional development workshops focused on effective use of instructional technology and pedagogical strategies. - (Essential)
- 10% - Learning Management System (LMS): Provide support and troubleshooting to faculty and peers in the effective use of the LMS for face-to-face, hybrid, and fully online instruction. - (Essential)
- 10% - Instructional Technology Support: Develop resources and provide support to faculty in the use of instructional technology for face-to-face, hybrid, and fully online courses. - (Essential)
- 5% - Research: Conduct literature reviews to identify evidence behind best practices in the field, staying current with trends and issues in the Instructional Design field. - (Essential)
- 5% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - (Essential)
